About the role
An opportunity is available for a Part-Time Export Shipping Documentation Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and coordinating export documentation to support the smooth shipment of agricultural products to international customers.
This position offers flexible part-time hours and would suit an experienced administrator or logistics professional looking for work-life balance.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and process export documentation including:
- Commercial invoices
- Packing lists
- Bills of lading
- Phytosanitary and export certification documents
- Ensure compliance with Australian export regulations and importing country requirements
- Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, internal stakeholders, and shipping lines
- Coordinate documentation for bulk and containerised agricultural shipments
- Maintain accurate records and document control systems
- Assist with shipment tracking and resolving documentation queries
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in logistics, export documentation, or administration
- Experience in the agriculture or commodities sector highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Understanding of export procedures (desirable)
- Experience using BSM Logistics software is an advantage
