About the Role: iCake is currently seeking a passionate and skilled Pastry Chef / Cake Maker to join our team at our Oakleigh location (Shop 2/10A Atherton Rd). If you have a love for crafting beautiful, high-quality cakes and thrive in a busy, creative environment, we would love to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Production: Manage and execute the daily baking and production schedule to meet store demands.
- Cake Decorating: Expertly handle cake masking/frosting and intricate piping/decorating to our brand's high standards.
- Cooking & Prep: Assist with cooking and preparing various cake components, fillings, and ingredients.
- Hygiene & Maintenance: Maintain a spotless workspace, ensuring all cleaning duties are completed and strict food safety and hygiene standards are upheld at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cake making, specifically with smooth frosting/masking and piping.
- A strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Excellent attention to detail and hygiene.
- Must have valid working rights in Australia.
