Experienced Driver – Sensitive Freight/Events (MORTDALE NSW)
Long-established Australian-owned business supplying commercial equipment to Events supermarkets, cafés, restaurants, events and venues across Sydney and beyond. For over 20 years we’ve built a reputation for reliable service, careful handling of sensitive freight and a down-to-earth, supportive team culture.
We are looking for an experienced driver to join our Mortdale team, delivering sensitive and fragile freight using our tail-lift pantech trucks to sites across Sydney and to some of the largest events in Australia. This is not a routine point-to-point courier run – every day and every delivery is different.
The role
In this role you will:
- Safely load, transport and unload sensitive and fragile freight using tail-lift pantech trucks
- Deliver to a wide variety of customer sites across Sydney (and occasional event locations around Australia)
- Follow delivery schedules, paperwork and basic site procedures
- Work both independently and as part of a small, supportive team
- Represent Cold Display Solutions professionally with customers, suppliers and site staff
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A minimum of 3 years’ driving experience
- Proven experience with sensitive, fragile or high-value freight (strongly preferred)
- Excellent knowledge of Sydney roads and traffic conditions
- A current NSW driver licence appropriate for operating pantech trucks
- The ability to work unsupervised, use good judgement and solve problems on the road
- A strong team mindset and clear communication skills
- A professional, friendly manner with customers and site personnel
- Willingness to work overtime on evenings and weekends when required
You will also need to be physically capable of handling deliveries that may involve manoeuvring large, bulky items with appropriate equipment and safe manual-handling practices.
