About the role
We are seeking a Product Lead VETSS to oversee the lifecycle support, development, and operational excellence of systems powering Vocational Education and Training (VET) for secondary students.
You will ensure alignment with business requirements, deliver high-quality user experiences, and support strategic objectives.
This role partners with Business SMEs to translate needs into delivery outcomes, manage upgrades and integrations, and drive continuous improvement across the VET learning ecosystem.

About you
You bring proven experience leading product management or technical programs in learning environments, with a strong command of security, data privacy, and accessibility. Thriving in Agile settings, you serve as a proactive Scrum Master, translating complex business needs into delivery-ready items.
You build trusted partnerships with Business SMEs, internal stakeholders, vendors, and end-users to drive adoption and strategic outcomes. You balance ongoing system support with change requests, monitor performance to resolve complex issues, and continually seek innovations and efficiencies through emerging practices and technologies. You stay current with trends in VET delivery and online learning, communicate clearly, influence across teams, and lead with a service-excellence mindset.
- Sound working knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks.
- Proven Scrum Master / Agile facilitation experience.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement with Government agencies, Non-Government Organisations (NGO’s) and/or private sector organisations.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
Essential requirements of the role
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated, relevant, equivalent professional experience.
- Current and valid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) Clearance for paid employment.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
