12-Month Parental Leave Replacement
Emmanuel College is seeking an experienced and faith-filled educational leader to join our Leadership Team as Director of Mission (POL 5) for a 12-month parental leave replacement, beginning in Term 4, 2026.
Reporting to the Deputy Principal Mission Integration, the Director of Mission provides leadership of the College's Religious Education program and supports the ongoing development of Emmanuel College's Catholic Marianist identity. The successful applicant will lead curriculum development, staff formation, student faith experiences and community engagement, fostering a vibrant faith-filled culture where every student is known, valued and encouraged to grow.
In this role you will:

Lead and support the Religious Education Learning Area, ensuring high-quality curriculum delivery and excellent teaching practice.

Foster the Catholic Marianist identity of the College through liturgies, retreats, prayer experiences and faith formation initiatives.

Mentor and develop Religious Education staff through coaching, professional learning and collaborative planning.

Promote student faith leadership, social justice initiatives and meaningful service opportunities across the College.

Work collaboratively with College leaders to strengthen learning, wellbeing and community engagement through the mission of the College.

Coordinate key faith events, celebrations and community liturgies while supporting the spiritual life of students, staff and families.

The Director of Mission undertakes this role at the Notre Dame Campus (NDC), Point Cook.

Salary:
Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

Hold a Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification

Be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching

Demonstrate strong classroom practice and collaborative skills

Show commitment to Catholic education and contemporary pedagogy
