THE ROLE
As a Health & Safety Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting and strengthening WHS practices across our national portfolio. Working closely with operational teams, you’ll provide practical safety guidance, support compliance initiatives and help drive a proactive safety culture across the business.
Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to):
- Partnering with operational teams to provide practical WHS advice and support
- Conducting site audits, inspections and compliance reviews across multiple states
- Supporting incident investigations and corrective action processes
- Assisting with WHS reporting, risk assessments and safety initiatives
- Maintaining WHS systems, registers and documentation
- Delivering toolbox talks, training and safety engagement activities
- Supporting continuous improvement across WHS frameworks and processes
Please note: This role requires occasional interstate travel (2-3 Days) across our national portfolio
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Experience in a WHS role within a multi-site environment
- Strong understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and risk assessments
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
- Bachelor’s degree in science, health, WHS or other related field
- Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel nationally
