Your role and responsibilities:
As a Panel Beater / Body Repairer you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of our bus fleet. This includes:
Construct and repair metal bus bodies using hand tools and power tools.
Accident repair, glass replacement including windscreens & windows, fleet refurbishment, painting new and repaired parts and painting interiors.
Ensure bus presentation meets vehicle presentation standards.
Follow all bus body repair procedures practices to ensure all Operational requirements are met.
The talent you bring:
Current NSW MVTC Body Repairer / Panel Beater trade certificate (essential)
Current HR drivers license (or ability to obtain)
Computer literacy for accurate maintenance record keeping
Capability to supervise and assist in training apprentices and trade assistants
Experience with scan tools (desirable)
Experience in bus maintenance and public transport operations (desirable)
We Offer:
Potential annual earnings of up to 100K + super (including shift allowance and overtime)
Current hourly rate: $45.00 (inclusive of industry allowance)
EBA pay increases in January 2027 and January 2028
Regular opportunities for paid overtime
A monthly rostered day off (RDO)
4-5 weeks annual leave
Fortnightly rotating day/afternoon roster with shift allowances
Tools and uniforms supplied
Career development opportunities, including training for the latest electrical vehicle technology
Free staff bus from Central (departure times vary)
A FREE Opal card is available for work and personal travel
Hours of work:
After an initial training period on day shift, you will commence a 2-week rotating roster which includes work on Saturdays and Sundays.
Day shift: 6am-2.30pm
Mid shift: 10.30am-7pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)
Afternoon shift: 2.30pm- 11pm (15% shift allowance is payable for the entire shift)
Please note that candidates who cannot provide a copy of a current NSW MVTC Panel Beater /Body Repairer trade certificate will not be considered for this role.

The Waverley depot is approx. 600 metre walk from Bondi Junction train station.
