An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Midwife to join the Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service as a Midwifery Clinical Facilitator.
This temporary leave backfill position provides education, clinical support and professional development to midwifery and nursing staff, graduate nurses and midwives, students and less experienced clinicians. Working closely with the Nursing and Midwifery Education team, you will promote reflective, evidence-based practice while supporting staff capability, clinical excellence and safe, high-quality patient care. The role remains predominantly clinical while providing education, mentorship and facilitation across the service.
You are an experienced and motivated Midwife who is passionate about developing others and supporting excellence in clinical practice.
To be successful you will demonstrate:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated post-registration midwifery experience with sound contemporary clinical knowledge.
- Experience supporting, educating or mentoring graduate nurses, midwives and students.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and multidisciplinary teamwork.
The Midwifery Clinical Facilitator works alongside the Nursing and Midwifery Education team to support education programs, clinical supervision and professional development across Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service. The role contributes to maintaining a highly skilled workforce by fostering a culture of learning, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
