About the Role
We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Disability Support Worker to join our team in one of our SIL homes. In this role, you will provide person-centred support to individuals with disabilities, helping them develop daily living skills, achieve greater independence, and enjoy meaningful participation in their community.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily support with personal care, meal preparation, household duties, and other activities of daily living.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that encourages independence and social engagement.
- Support the implementation of individualised care and support plans.
- Assist participants to access community services and participate in social, recreational, and community-based activities.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organisational policies.
- Work collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders to support participant wellbeing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Support participants with behaviours of concern using positive behaviour support strategies.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support or a related qualification (desirable).
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
- Experience using VPAP equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong manual handling skills and knowledge of safe work practices.
- A genuine commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support.
Mandatory Requirements
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Reliable vehicle with current registration and comprehensive insurance.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Medication Administration Certificate.
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
- Completion of the NDIS Infection Prevention and Control Module.
- Full Australian work rights.
Available ShiftsWeekday Shifts
- Monday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Wednesday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 2:30 PM – 6:00 PM
Sleepover/Active Night Shifts
- 6:00 PM – 9:00 AM (as required)
