With a strong and growing pipeline of work in the metals processing sector, we're seeking a Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer to lead the delivery of brownfield upgrades and capital projects across operating process plants.
Based in Melbourne , you'll combine technical excellence with client leadership, guiding projects from early-stage studies through to detailed design and delivery. You'll lead critical mechanical and piping work packages, build trusted client relationships, and help develop the next generation of engineers within a high-performing team
Project focus: Brownfield metals processing capital and sustaining capital projects
Role scope: Technical leadership, client partnering, multidisciplinary coordination, and team mentoring

What You'll Do
Lead mechanical and piping packages across brownfield capital and sustaining capital projects
Deliver practical, fit-for-purpose engineering solutions from study phase through to detailed design and site support
Build trusted client relationships and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to achieve successful project outcome
Mentor developing engineers and contribute to the growth and capability of the mechanical team
About You
You're a degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience delivering studies, detailed design and capital projects within the minerals and metals processing industry.
You'll bring:
Strong mechanical and piping design experience, including equipment specification and integration
Experience leading work packages and working across multidisciplinary teams
Practical engineering judgement and a solutions-focused mindset
The ability to build trusted client relationships and influence outcomes
Strong communication and leadership skills
Consulting and/or site-based experience within operating process plants (highly regarded)
