We are seeking a professional, compassionate and highly organised Receptionist to join our Housing Services team in Fremantle.
St Patrick’s Community Support Centre (St Pat’s) is an award-winning not-for-profit homelessness support service and community housing provider supporting vulnerable people across Perth’s south metropolitan region for more than 50 years.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy front-of-house environment and is passionate about providing excellent customer service to people from all walks of life.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for Housing Services, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming, respectful and professional experience for tenants, clients, visitors and stakeholders.
You will manage reception operations, coordinate administrative tasks and support the Housing team to deliver high-quality services aligned with Housing First and person-centred principles.
This is a varied and fast-paced role suited to someone who can remain calm under pressure, communicate effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
This is a part-time position (25 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, 9:30-2:30pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a busy switchboard and reception area
- Welcome and assist clients, tenants, visitors and stakeholders
- Provide high-quality administrative and clerical support
- Process incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Maintain accurate electronic records and client documentation
- Process EFTPOS payments and update CRM systems
- Order office supplies and maintain office systems
- Ensure tenant information and noticeboards remain current and accessible
- Support continuous improvement, safety and quality initiatives
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in a reception and/or administration role
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and database skills
- Strong customer service skills with a professional and empathetic approach
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment
- A calm, proactive and flexible attitude
- The ability to work independently and within a team
Desirable
- Experience in community services, housing or property management
