About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Full-Time Cellar Hand to join our Rutherglen Winery team. Reporting directly to the General Manager/Chief Winemaker, you will play a key role in supporting all cellar operations, ensuring wines are produced to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
This hands-on position offers the opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of winery activities, working closely with our winemaking team throughout both vintage and non-vintage periods.
Key Responsibilities

Perform all cellar operations safely, efficiently, and in accordance with Standard Work Instructions and quality procedures.

Assist with the planning, organisation, and execution of cellar activities during vintage and throughout the year.

Carry out transfers of must, juice, wine, and other products as directed.

Operate and maintain winery equipment, including forklifts, trucks, crusher/destemmers, presses, pumps, and clarification equipment.

Monitor wine movements and cellar processes to ensure production targets and quality standards are achieved.

Clean and sanitise tanks, equipment, and work areas to maintain a high standard of winery hygiene.

Ensure compliance with Workplace Health & Safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all times.
About You
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. You will enjoy working in a team environment, be willing to learn new skills, and take pride in producing quality work. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, a commitment to workplace safety, and the flexibility to assist with a variety of cellar operations throughout the year. Previous experience in a winery or production environment is advantageous but not essential.
