The Role
We’re seeking a Senior Associate Engineer – Bridges & Structures to join our Transport team in Perth, supporting the delivery of major Rail & Metro infrastructure projects across Western Australia.
In this role, you’ll provide technical leadership, project oversight, and client engagement across a portfolio of complex bridge and structural packages, particularly within rail environments.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of bridge and structural components across Rail & Metro projects

Provide technical oversight, peer review, and sign-off on complex structural designs

Act as a technical leader and mentor across the Bridges & Structures team

Manage project scope, programme, budget, and resourcing on key packages

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (rail, civil, geotechnical, drainage) to deliver integrated solutions

Build and maintain strong client relationships across government and major contractors

Support bid development, proposals, and strategic project pursuits
About You
-
Degree qualified in Civil/Structural Engineering
-
12+ years' experience in structural bridge design within the transport infrastructure sector (preferably Australia-based).

Significant experience in bridge design, ideally within rail or transport infrastructure

Proven ability to lead projects and manage multidisciplinary teams

Strong understanding of Australian standards and WA client requirements (e.g. PTA, MRWA desirable)

Level 2 MRWA Bridge Accreditation desirable but not mandatory

Demonstrated experience in client engagement and project delivery leadership

Chartered (CPEng) or working towards
