- Leads and supervises the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained across all resident rooms and public areas, in accordance with Bolton Clarke’s standards and individual resident requirements.
- Ensures all laundry services are conducted efficiently to meet the needs of the site and residents, including handling and storing chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and Aged Care Act requirements.
- Manages the ordering, stock control, and storage processes for housekeeping and catering supplies, ensuring that all materials are stored appropriately.
- Monitors food safety and hygiene practices in the kitchen, ensuring compliance with the Food Safety Plan and aged care regulations.
- Develops and implements cleaning schedules for all areas, ensuring that all housekeeping and kitchen areas are maintained to a high standard, with all tasks completed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Provides leadership in fostering a customer-focused approach by regularly communicating with residents and committees to ensure housekeeping and catering services meet their needs.
- Manages budgets for housekeeping and catering services within your area of responsibility, ensuring that all operations are cost-effective while maintaining high standards of service.
Facilitates staff development by conducting performance appraisals, identifying training needs, and ensuring all team members are competent in using machinery and following safety protocols.

- Hospitality Management, Cleaning Operations is preferred. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
Moderate experience in housekeeping or cleaning services in a healthcare or aged care setting is preferred.

- Take reasonable care not to place at risk the health and safety of anyone in the workplace;
- Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of Group work health and safety policies and guidelines;
- Ensure relevant work health and safety legislative requirements are being met and seek advice and support from appropriate sources if in doubt;
- Ensure all incidents including injuries, illness, hazards, near misses etc. are reported, investigated or risk assessed and that appropriate controls implemented;
- Ensure work areas have appropriate equipment and safe methods;
- Ensure appropriate service provisions are in place to maintain plant and equipment;
- Ensure a regular inspection program is conducted to ensure safety standards are maintained;
- Ensure appropriate processes are used for the engagement, induction and monitoring of contractors;
- Review incident statistics and other indicators to ensure action is taken to address key risks;
- Ensure all mandatory safety training is provided;
