The primary accountabilities of the Legal Assistant include:
- Support legal officers in managing information for litigation and advice, including preparing chronologies, collating documents, summarising information, printing documents and attend to filing materials in courts/tribunals.
- Interpret and apply the requirements of the relevant legislation and policies.
- Attend court or civil proceedings to support legal officers in litigation.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads to provide accurate work on time.
- Ensure relevant documentation is appropriately filed in our file management system and assist with reporting requirements.
- Track compliance and prepare reports about regulatory timeframes and internal KPIs.
- Establish, develop and maintain co-operative and mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
