Ozcare has a Part-time permanent position available for a Cook at our beautiful Aged Care facility in Newstead.
Your Role
As a Cook you'll be looking after the most important people in our organisation - our clients. Your tasks will include:
- Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with corporate menus, recipes and dietary requirements
- Ensure all meals meet IDDSI and texture-modified needs
- Follow safe food handling, hygiene and infection control standards
- Monitor and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental practices

Role Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Demonstrated previous cooking experience for aged care residents would be an advantage
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of IDDSI and texture- modified food preparation
- Ability to work across all areas of the kitchen
- Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
- Hold a current Police Screening Certificate or current NDIS screening card
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (where applicable)
- Current First Aid & CPR training Certificates
