About the role
To further strengthen our marketing capabilities, we are looking to secure a full-time Marketing Specialist.
In this role, you will be required to be a strategic makreting specialist, ready to take on new marketing projects across various functions of the business, and identifying new marketing opportunities to broaden Antler’s reach and and strengthen its brand, promote the fund and its portfolio companies.
This includes but is not limited to:
Brand
- Leveraging and building on global branding to create consistent and powerful branding opportunities
- Designing brand assets and marketing collateral for internal and external purposes
- Planning, developing and organising brand and campaign strategy to support scouting, portfolio and capital-raising objectives
- Advising founders and internal stakeholders on positioning, pricing and distribution as part of Antler's broader marketing and portfolio support
- Advising Partners and founders on how to reach the audiences that matter to them, and building Antler's profile and that of its portfolio companies
- Creating and leading events that position Antler as a leading VC and the best place for founders to build a startup in Australia
Growth
- Setting content and channel strategy across social media, newsletter and website, in partnership with the wider team
- Developing best practice for leveraging MarTech tools to improve productivity and team efficiency
- Identifying external collaboration and partnership channels and opportunities to tap into new audiences and grow reach
- Analysing data on audience and consumer patterns and preferences, and interpreting and forecasting industry trends, to inform channel and campaign strategy
- Assessing where demand sits across the startup ecosystem and what shapes it, to surface new opportunities in scouting, portfolio support and capital raising
- Commissioning and running research into the local startup and venture market to inform Antler's growth priorities
- Driving Antler Australia's growth by setting marketing objectives and delivering the programs and processes needed to meet them
- Preparing and presenting quarterly performance reports across marketing channels
Content & events
- Identify owned content opportunities, working with local Partners to craft op-eds and thought leadership articles
- Write, edit and publish content that supports the objectives of various areas of the business
- Coordinating production of campaign assets, including artwork, copywriting, media scripting, photography and video, within time and budget constraints
- Maintaining key industry partnerships to support content distribution and profiling opportunities for founders
- End-to-end management of physical and virtual events and event marketing, across various areas of the business
To be successful in this role, you will need
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, PR, communications, or similar
- At least one year of experience as a marketing, PR or communications manager within a tech company or VC
- Experience in writing long-form content, creating and leading events, and crafting and editing video assets
- Proficiency in marketing automation software and analytics tools such as HubSpot Marketing and Google Analytics
- Understanding and interest in the VC and the Australian startup ecosystem
Pay: $90,000.00 – $103,919.32 per year
