We are looking for a solution focused, curious and proactive HR Business Partner who thrives on partnering with leaders, solving complex people issues and lifting organisational performance.
The opportunity
In this role you will:

Partner with Leaders as a trusted advisor on the full employee lifecycle. From recruitment and onboarding through to performance, development, change and exit.

Coach and influence leaders to confidently manage people matters, address issues early and build strong, accountable teams.

Provide clear, practical and timely advice on employment legislation, awards and internal policies, balancing people experience with organisational risk and operational realities.

Work closely with the General Manager Human Resources on HR projects, workforce initiatives and continuous improvement across HR systems, processes and practices.

Use data, insights and feedback to identify trends, spot risks and co-design solutions that improve engagement, retention and performance.
This is not a transactional HR role. It is a contemporary HRBP position suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, variety and meaningful impact in a values based environment.
About you
You will be a dynamic HR practitioner who brings:

Solid generalist HR experience, including hands-on exposure to complex employee relations, performance and conduct issues.

A go-getter mindset – you are a self-starter, organised, and comfortable taking initiative and seeing things through.

Strong curiosity and problem-solving skills – you ask great questions, get to the root cause and design practical, people centred solutions.

Confidence in interpreting employment legislation, modern awards and HR policies, and explaining them in clear, accessible language.

Ability to build trust quickly, coach and influence leaders, and navigate sensitive conversations with discretion and professionalism.

A continuous improvement lens – you notice patterns, suggest improvements and enjoy making HR processes simpler and more effective.

Cultural competence and a genuine commitment to working respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal people and culturally diverse communities.
Experience in the community services or not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
