Personal Care Worker — Community Based | Melbourne Western Suburbs | Kanda
If you’ve worked in care before, you know the difference between a role that simply fills your roster and one that genuinely fits your life. This is a role where you can enjoy consistency, support and meaningful work.
Enjoy fixed weekly shifts Monday to Friday from 8am, with occasional weekend shifts shared fairly across the team. With no unpredictable rosters or agency uncertainty, you’ll have the stability to build strong relationships with clients while making a real difference in their everyday lives across Melbourne’s Western Suburbs, including Point Cook, St Albans, Melton and Rockbank.
What the role looks like:
You’ll visit clients in their own homes, providing support with personal care, light domestic tasks and shopping to help them remain independent and comfortable. You’ll assist multiple clients throughout your shift, travelling between locations in your own vehicle — with paid travel time and a kilometre allowance between visits.
You’ll be part of a supportive clinical team, working alongside Registered Nurses and reporting to a Clinical Manager who is there to guide and support you when needed. You’ll have the independence to do what you do best, while knowing you’re never working alone.
You're the right person if:
- You hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Community or Individual Care and have experience in a similar role
- You're warm, reliable and the kind of support worker clients genuinely look forward to seeing
- You have your own reliable, fully insured vehicle and are comfortable travelling across the region
You'll also need:
- Current National Police Check (issued within the last 12 months)
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Manual Handling Certificate (refreshed within the last 12 months)
- Covid-19 vaccination — minimum two doses
