The Shire of Carnarvon is seeking an experienced and passionate Manager Environment & Sustainability to lead environmental health, waste management and sustainability services across our unique and diverse region.
Reporting to the Executive Manager Community Planning & Sustainability, the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across environmental health, public health, waste management and sustainability programs while driving projects that support the long-term environmental resilience of the Carnarvon community.
About the Role
This leadership position is responsible for:
- Environmental health and public health services
- Waste management and resource recovery initiatives
- Sustainability and climate resilience programs
- Environmental compliance and regulatory obligations
- Strategic project delivery and stakeholder engagement
- Leading and developing a high-performing team
Key projects include the Coral Bay Waste Project, Pelican Point Vegetation Planning and expansion of environmental health services across the region.
