Medical Reception / Administration Assistant

First Light Healthcare is a busy, patient-focused medical practice committed to providing high-quality healthcare and occupational health services to our community. We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Medical Reception / Administration Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team.
This role would suit someone with previous medical reception, administration, AIN, pathology collection or allied health assistant experience who enjoys a varied role and working in a fast-paced environment.
About the Role
This is a hands-on role supporting both reception and clinical administration duties across the practice. The successful applicant will work closely with our clinical and administrative team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the clinic.
Duties include:
- Reception and general administration duties
- Processing occupational health and medical bookings
- Results management and follow-up administration
- Administering health questionnaires
- Conducting preliminary medical assessments
- Specimen collection, including supervision of Drug & Alcohol Testing
- Audiometry testing
- Spirometry testing
- Invoicing and billing support
- Possible procedure assisting work
About You
We are looking for someone who is:

- Confident using computers and learning new systems
- Able to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in medical reception, administration, occupational health, AIN or similar healthcare role preferred
- AIN qualifications desirable but not essential
- Prior experience with audiometry, spirometry or specimen collection highly regarded
- Training can be provided for the right applicant
- Experience with Best Practice software desirable but not essential
