The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Cyber Security Engineer to join a large-scale, high-impact infrastructure program in Brisbane. This is a unique opportunity to work on a major rail transformation project that is reshaping public transport across Southeast Queensland.
You will play a key role in securing complex Operational Technology (OT) environments, leading the deployment of advanced vulnerability management solutions with a focus on Nozomi Networks.
In this role, you will take full ownership of vulnerability management implementation across OT systems from design and deployment through to optimisation and ongoing support.
You will be working across diverse, safety-critical environments, ensuring secure integration across signalling, communications, and control systems.
- Lead the design, implementation, and validation of Nozomi-based vulnerability management solutions
- Deploy and integrate cybersecurity technologies into OT environments (e.g. signalling, control, communications systems)
- Manage interfaces across multiple OT subsystems, ensuring smooth integration and system interoperability
- Tune and optimise threat detection and alerting to maintain a well-balanced security posture
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, frameworks, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and security teams to align solutions with project objectives
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and support system lifecycle activities
- Proven experience with Nozomi Networks (or similar OT security/vulnerability management platforms)
- Strong background in Operational Technology (OT) and Industrial Control Systems (ICS)
- Experience in system integration and security alert optimisation
- Solid understanding of vulnerability management practices and frameworks
- Exposure to rail signaling systems (e.g. ETCS) - highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to work within complex, safety-critical environments
- Be part of a major infrastructure program delivering long-term impact
