In early 2027, a new special school will open, creating an inclusive, innovative and future-focused learning environment for students from Prep to Year 12. Students enrolling at the school will present with a diverse range of strengths, abilities and support needs. Working in partnership with families and community agencies will be central to our approach, ensuring every student receives personalised support to achieve meaningful success.
Your opportunity:
Provide professional expertise, leadership and support to school communities and networks in the development and implementation of plans, programs, and procedures to assist students in achieving positive educational, developmental and lifelong learning outcomes
Collaboratively negotiate, develop and implement programs for students that have a focus on preventative and early intervention strategies; are responsive to identified personal, social, emotional and educational needs; and aim to foster resilience and personal skills development.

Responsibilities:
Provide counselling, assessment and individual student support across educational, behavioural, wellbeing and career needs.
Work collaboratively with students, families, teachers and external support agencies.
Provide case management, referrals and ongoing support.
Conduct student observations and psychoeducational assessments to identify learning, developmental and wellbeing needs.
Develop and support individualised plans, behaviour support and educational adjustments.
Assist with career development, SET planning and future pathways.
Support student protection, critical incidents and emergency responses.
Maintain confidential records in accordance with legislation and policy.
Provide professional guidance, training and development to staff and families.
Support students requiring intensive behaviour intervention and assistance with transitions.
