Club Duty Manager (Casual)
The Cruising Yacht Club of WA is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Club Duty Manager to join our Food & Beverage team.
Reporting directly to the Food & Beverage Manager, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day operation of our Members' Bar, Restaurant and Function Facilities.
This position is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys leading a team, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards in a welcoming waterfront club environment.
Employment Type
Casual – Approximately 20 to 30 hours per week
This position offers flexible hours across a rotating roster including day shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required. Additional hours may be available during functions and peak periods.
Essential Experience
Please note: This role is only suitable for experienced hospitality managers.
This is a hands-on management position, with the successful candidate expected to work actively behind the bar along side the team while leading day-to-day operations
Applicants must have:
- Minimum 4 years' experience in hospitality.
- Minimum 2* years' experience managing a restaurant, bar, club or similar hospitality venue.*
Proven experience with:
- Staff rostering
- Stock control and stocktakes
- Beverage ordering and inventory management
- Staff training and performance management
- Venue opening and closing procedures
- Cash handling and end-of-day reconciliation
- Delivering exceptional customer service
- Leading and motivating hospitality teams

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the restaurant, bar and function facilities.
- Lead, supervise and support the Front of House team.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure high service standards.
- Prepare and manage staff rosters.
- Conduct stocktakes and maintain inventory control.
- Order beverages and operational supplies.
- Train, coach and develop staff.
- Open and close the venue in accordance with Club procedures.
- Ensure compliance with RSA requirements, liquor licensing and food safety standards.
- Assist in the coordination of Club functions and events.
- Maintain a clean, organised and professional workplace.
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to achieve operational and financial objectives.

Essential Requirements
- Current WA Approved Manager's Licence.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA).
- Full Australian working rights.
