Join our team as a Parks and Conservation Field Officer (Conservation Services)
Play a hands-on role in protecting and maintaining the Redlands Coast by working across our parks, natural areas, and streetscapes. From native planting and weed control to hazard reduction burns and vegetation management, this diverse role offers the chance to use your skills in horticulture, arboriculture, landscaping, and conservation to make a real difference in our community’s environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out a variety of parks and conservation maintenance tasks across Redlands Coast

Undertaking conservation, horticulture, arboriculture, landscaping, and general grounds maintenance
Delivering day-to-day work such as weed control, native planting, vegetation management, and bushland restoration
Assisting with hazard reduction burns, chainsaw and chipper work, and other natural area operations
Applying and maintaining tools, plant, and equipment safely and effectively
Providing accurate technical advice and support to your team and customers
Following workplace health, safety, and environmental protection requirements at all times
Contributing to a positive, team-based culture and delivering great service to the community
Skills and experience:
Proven experience in delivering high-quality parks, conservation, or grounds maintenance services
Physical fitness and the ability to perform a wide range of outdoor and strenuous tasks over extended periods
Strong knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental protection requirements
Confident in the safe use, care, and maintenance of plant, tools, chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment
Technical skills and knowledge in horticulture, conservation, arboriculture, landscaping, or related trade services
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive workplace culture
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address hazards proactively

Eligibility:
- You'll have a Minimum of 3 years' experience in the relevant field
- You'll have a qualification in either of the following:
- TAFE Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent
- TAFE Certificate III in Arboriculture
- Landscape Construction including a playground Inspector – Level 2 Certificate
- Conservation and Land Management, Fire Management or equivalent
- You'll hold a current class 'C' drivers licence.
- To be eligible for employment, applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
