Position Summary
ALS National Sales Manager – Specialised Transport & Heavy Lift Solutions is responsible for driving national revenue growth through the development and delivery of heavy lift, specialised transport and project logistics solutions across Australia.
The role manages strategic client relationships and major project opportunities across the mining, energy, infrastructure and construction sectors, from initial client engagement and technical solution development through tendering and commercial negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying and securing new opportunities across mining, oil & gas, energy, infrastructure and construction sectors.
- Maintain detailed technical knowledge of ALS's fleet of equipment.
- Assess client project requirements, including load characteristics, site constraints, transport requirements, lifting methodology, project schedules and mobilisation requirements, to identify suitable heavy lift, specialised transport, jacking and skidding solutions.
- Providing technical sales advice and recommending appropriate combinations of mobile and crawler cranes, heavy haulage equipment, jacking and skidding systems, strand jacking and project logistics services based on individual project requirements.
- Develop and present technically appropriate lifting, transport and project logistics solutions in consultation with ALS engineering, operations and mobilisation teams, explaining the capabilities, limitations and application of relevant equipment and methodologies to clients.
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, EPC contractors, project managers and procurement teams, while managing major accounts and strategic partnerships across relevant industry sectors. The role represents the company at industry events, conferences and networking functions, conducts client visits and presentations to promote the company’s specialised heavy lift, transport and project logistics capabilities, and acts as the primary point of contact for key projects and tender opportunities.
- Working closely with operations, engineering and mobilisation teams to develop commercially and operationally appropriate solutions in response to client and project requirements. The role assists with the preparation of tender submissions and major project bids, develops pricing strategies and commercial proposals, and negotiates contracts and service agreements to support the successful acquisition and delivery of projects.
Pay: $180,000.00 – $195,000.00 per year
