SCT Logistics is looking for qualified Locomotive Driver to join our Forrestfield Depot on a full-time basis, reporting into the WA Rail & Intermodal Manager. Working 12 hour shifts on a 2 Day – 2 Night – 4 Off Roster, the positions offered provide an ideal work life balance when combined with their Forrestfield location, with the opportunity for additional coverage shifts as they present themselves.
The ideal applicant(s) will be committed, flexible, punctual & reliable team players with excellent problem-solving skills, and a positive can-do attitude. In this role you will be able to showcase your qualifications and skills set in a small professional team environment with like-minded team members.
- Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting and yard operations.
- Operation of communication systems.
- Working in accordance with SCT Rail’s safety and operational standards and procedures.
- Provision of an efficient and high-quality service to SCT’s Operation Divisions to enable SCT to meet its set business objectives.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of Rail Operations in Western Australia.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in rail operations.
- Shunting & Train Driving Qualifications.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Current Track Access Permit (TAP)
- Valid C Class Driver’s License
- Conduct himself/herself in a manner that ensures SCT Rail is recognised as a safe, reliable and quality supplier of rail related services
