About the role
This is a full-time Assistant Farm Manager role at Precision Poultry Pty Ltd, located in Boort, Victoria. The role will assist the Farm Manager in overseeing all aspects of the poultry farm's day-to-day operations to ensure the efficient and effective management of the farm's resources and the achievement of production targets.
What you'll be doing
- Assist the Farm Manager in planning, coordinating and supervising all farm activities, including animal health, nutrition, housing and equipment maintenance
- Monitor and maintain animal welfare and biosecurity standards across the farm
- Oversee the work of farm staff, providing training, support and performance feedback as required
- Analyse production data and provide regular reports to the Farm Manager
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement agreed changes
- Assist with the maintenance of accurate farm records and documentation
- Support the Farm Manager in developing and executing the farm's strategic and operational plans
What we're looking for
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent, or at least 5 years related & relevant experience
- Strong understanding of poultry management practices, including animal health, nutrition, housing and equipment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of farm workers
- Proficient in data analysis and the use of farm management software
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
