Our trusted reputation is built on a history of an experienced team and person-centred care. We care for our residents and clients across 34 facilities throughout metropolitan Perth and regional Western Australia and look after each individual in the way they want to be cared for.
We are currently seeking experienced Chef to provide daily support to our residents at Bethanie Fields.
This role is offered on a Casual Basis.
Renumeration: $37.28 per hour.
The Role
- Manage the preparation and cooking of fresh, nutritious meals on site, ensuring a high-quality dining experience for residents.
- Order food supplies and manage stock, portion control and wastage within budget guidelines.
- Assist with menu development and delivery of the approved cycle menu, taking into account resident preferences and feedback.
- Lead, mentor and train kitchen staff in food preparation, presentation techniques and food safety practices.
- Ensure all dietary, cultural and special meal requirements are met in a responsive and person-centred manner.
- Deliver professional food service for residents, visitors and small functions, providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain compliance with food safety legislation, the Food Safety Program and all required documentation and reporting requirements.

About You
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Previous experience as a Chef or Cook preparing meals for large groups, ideally within aged care, healthcare, hospitality or a similar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise and support a small team.
- Sound knowledge of food safety legislation, including the Food Act and Food Standards Code.
- Experience with ordering, stock control, budgeting and minimising food wastage.
- Excellent time management, organisational and communication skills.
- Commitment to person-centred care and delivering a positive dining experience for residents.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations.
