E-Commerce Manager
Universal Media Co is one of Australia’s largest innovative media companies with a range of popular magazines, websites, social, and video brands.
Our subscribers are very important to us and join through our e-commerce store making it one of our most important digital assets. If you love media, marketing and helping hundreds of customers every day you’ll excel in this role.
This role oversees two of our key eCommerce stores – Paper Pocket and Universal Shop, as a valued part of a small team, and is responsible for the day-to-day marketing and growth of both stores as well as their sales on external channels. The role will be involved in both the regular digital marketing activities that drive the continued success of these stores, seasonal promotions and sales, and also the exciting new growth projects that will help us take operations to the next level.
This is a big role for a driven individual who loves marketing, helping people, meeting targets and the detail involved in growing a well-recognised and loved ecommerce brand portfolio.
What you will do:
- Execute the renewal program for each title and track retention rates.
- Update the e-commerce website with new offer landing pages.
- Assist with managing and deploying offers for our products and subscriptions, and push them to market through all channels to acquire new subscribers.
- Explore and help us develop new ways to get in front of our target audience and grow eCommerce revenues.
- Work closely with the subscriptions team, managing inventory, overseeing order fulfilment and carrying out ad-hoc admin tasks as required.
- Assist with writing and briefing attractive creative that reflects the brand and offers.
What we are looking for:
- 3-5 years experience in eCommerce.
- Shopify skills essential.
- Experience in EDM and social media marketing essential.
- Experience with driving sales in marketplaces such as eBay, Amazon and Kogan.
- Experience with paid digital ads (Google, Amazon, Meta) preferred but not essential.
- Experience with website conversion rate optimization (CRO) preferred but not essential.
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the SubsPlus database would be an advantage, but on-the-job training will be provided.
- You must be reliable and have good organizational skills with the ability to work in a deadline driven environment and have great attention to detail.
- You must be self-motivated and able to work well within a team as well as autonomously to achieve weekly KPIs and targets
- Strong creative and marketing eye and an understanding of digital marketing channels preferred
- You must have an adaptable and flexible work approach as priorities change
- A natural flair for sales and marketing is an advantage.
- Communicate in a friendly, professional manner with a range of customers, colleagues, and managers.
- Be ready to help your teammates if needed.
