Salt and Honey Agency is looking for a reliable, organised Social Media Assistant to join us on a contract basis, 2 days per week. This is a contractor role to start (ABN required), with potential to grow into something more down the track for the right person.
You'll be taking the time heavy, behind the scenes work off our plate. The scheduling, uploading, research, and admin that keeps everything running, so we can focus on strategy and creative. If you're the kind of person who loves a tidy content calendar and gets satisfaction from things running like clockwork, you'll fit right in.

About the role
This is a remote position, but you'll need to be somewhat online during Gold Coast / AEST hours to stay in sync with the team.
- 2 days per week
- We communicate and work across Slack, Notion, Metricool, and a few other tools you'll get across quickly
To be clear, this is not a design role. It's admin and research support that helps the creative side of the business run smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Scheduling and publishing content across various social media platforms
- Loading captions and assets into scheduling tools like Metricool
- Keeping content calendars and Notion boards organised and up to date
- Research tasks to support content and strategy (trends, competitors, inspiration)
- Repurposing and consolidating existing content, and updating folders with new content
- General social media admin and time consuming tasks to keep everything on track
What we're looking for
- 1 to 2 years' experience in social media, content, or a similar admin focused role
- Not from a social media background but very organised? This could be a great fit for you too
- Confident using scheduling platforms (Metricool, Meta Business Suite, or similar)
- Comfortable working across tools like Slack and Notion
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, self managing, and great at hitting deadlines without being chased
- Comfortable working remotely and staying in sync across Gold Coast hours
