The Role
We are looking for a hands-on, energetic Assistant Manager to join us full-time. You’ll be the heartbeat of the floor, working closely with our management team to ensure every guest feels at home and every shift runs like clockwork.
This is a dynamic role where you won’t just be sitting in an office—you’ll be leading by example, whether that’s smashing out a morning rush or ensuring the vibe is perfect for a weekend function.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Assist in managing day-to-day floor operations, ensuring high standards of service and presentation.
- Opening & Closing: You will be a keyholder, responsible for opening the store (getting that first coffee ready for the early birds) and closing up (ensuring the decks are cleared and we’re ready for another big day).
- Team Mentorship: Support and supervise our casual staff, helping to maintain our warm, upbeat culture.
- Customer Experience: Handle inquiries, manage bookings, and go the extra mile to ensure our locals leave happy.
- Quality Control: Ensure our food and beverage output consistently hits the mark.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven Experience: You’ve spent some time in a leadership role within a fast-paced café or hospitality environment - we're not strict on this. If you have the right attitude and think you're ready for a leadership role, don't let a lack of experience stop you.
- Reliability: You’re someone we can trust with the keys. Punctuality is non-negotiable, especially for those early morning opens.
- A People Person: You’re naturally conversational, calm under pressure, and genuinely care about community vibes.
- The "Work Hard, Play Hard" Mentality: You’re ready to roll up your sleeves during a busy brunch rush but know how to keep the atmosphere light and fun for the team.
- Full Availability: Able to commit to full time hours in a week, including weekends (because that’s when the party happens).
