Junior Mechanical Fitter

With a global presence across 19 countries, our clients are the world's leading textiles business specializing in all facets of fabrics and textiles design and technology associated with mattresses and sleep fabrics.
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Fitter who may be just out of their time or looking to finish their apprenticeship and who is looking to get a start with a world leading brand in textiles.
Key responsibilities:
- Hydraulic and pneumatic repair work
- Maintenance and repair of gearboxes and bearings associated with commercial sized knitting machines
- Moving materials with forklift
- Fabricating - Using cutting machinery such as grinder, drills, etc
- Basic welding
Key requirements:
- LF Forklift license
- Must have mechanical aptitude - will train up the right candidate
- Maintenance experience with a high attention to detail
- Good communicator who can work in a small team
- OH&S compliant
- Brand new purpose built facility in Pakenham
- Global brand/company
- 7am start
- Small team, excellent working conditions
- Immediate start, weekly pay
