AI Value & Adoption Lead | Director | AI & Data | Melbourne
Own the AI value agenda for our most strategic clients
Set the direction for how Deloitte converts AI capability into enterprise outcomes
Lead Deloitte's next-generation AI delivery model, alongside AI Pioneers and Engineers
Join Deloitte's AI & Data practice as part of our evolving delivery model, where you will help organisations translate AI potential into real business outcomes. Based in Melbourne, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact client portfolios, setting value-led AI strategies and directing delivery teams to realise measurable results.
At Director level you own growth and revenue outcomes. You'll hold the strategic client relationships, lead the commercial and risk discussions, and be accountable for the value the practice commits to and delivers.
About Value & Adoption Engineering and the Value & Adoption Leads
The practice is evolving into three talent groups, including Value & Adoption Engineering, which focuses on shaping value and supporting AI adoption in client environments. The team brings together Forward Deployed Engineers, who help build and deploy solutions, and Value & Adoption Leads, who work closely with stakeholders to guide direction and outcomes.
In this role, you'll set the direction for how the practice identifies, sizes and realises AI value across a portfolio of clients, and you'll shape how Value & Adoption Leads work with delivery teams to get there.
This is a virtual team that individuals can apply to join, with selection based on demonstrated capability and experience. We welcome interest from people with a range of backgrounds, experiences and perspectives.
What will your typical day look like?
As a Value & Adoption Lead, you spend your time with the client's business leaders, not in the code.
You will be responsible for:
Owning strategic client relationships at C-suite level, delivering outcomes and building long-term trusted partnerships.
Setting the AI value agenda across a portfolio — deciding where the practice invests its effort and what it commits to.
Leading proactive, personalised client engagements and selling services, shaping and converting opportunities that demonstrate the value of emerging technology.
Owning growth and revenue outcomes, leading commercial, delivery, and risk discussions.
Leading and managing client, team, and firm reputational risks, proactively intervening to protect outcomes.
Deliberately connecting cross-BU and alliance expertise, forming integrated teams around complex client problems.
Driving delivery excellence — standardising how the practice frames, quantifies and tracks AI value.
Holding the practice accountable for adoption and benefit realisation against the cases we sold.
Building market-relevant eminence and client demand through thought leadership and alliance leadership.
Drawing on solutions and assets pioneered by the AI Pioneers, and directing where they create the most commercial value.

How this role brings our table-stakes behaviours to life
Across the practice, five core behaviours guide how we work, aligned to our four performance pillars. In this role, you'll set direction on complex, high-impact challenges and shape how AI-enabled value is defined and delivered across the practice.
You'll drive consistency in the quality of performance and career conversations across your team, and build an inclusive, high-performing environment that others want to be part of.
Enough about us, let's talk about you.
You may have all or some of the following skills / experiences:
10+ years' experience in AI, data, consulting, or technology environments
Deep experience engaging and influencing C-suite stakeholders on strategic investment decisions
Proven track record owning revenue and sales outcomes across a client portfolio
