The SIL Company is the new NDIS Service Provider on the block with an amazing team of managers, team leaders and disability support workers who love what they do. We are looking for a diligent, personable, and caring person with a can-do attitude who can provide quality care and support for people living with disability.
We’re looking for a House Lead to provide participant support, on-shift leadership, coaching and operational support. If you are successful, you will work in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment to provide a participant with high complex support needs, an opportunity to live in an environment that supports and maximizes personal growth and independence.
Scope
The Disability Support Worker will:
Provide assistance for a participant living with complex needs, to remain living independently in their own homes and community, in a dignified and safe manner in accordance with individual care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support in accordance with NDIS plans, behaviour support plans, and organisational policies.
- Assist participants with personal care, daily living skills, community access, and promoting independence.
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day shift operations, ensuring continuity of care and effective team communication.
- Provide on-shift guidance, coaching, and support to Disability Support Workers while acting as the first point of escalation for operational issues.
- Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and participant records in line with NDIS Practice Standards
- Administer medication (where qualified), follow WHS requirements, and promptly escalate risks, incidents, or participant changes.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on participant safety, dignity, and high-quality service delivery.
Pay: $36.00 – $43.00 per hour
