City on a Hill began with a small team and a big vision to make a difference in our world for the glory of God. Since our inception in Melbourne in 2007, we have witnessed a special work of God’s grace as he has united hundreds of men and women around the mission of ‘knowing Jesus and making Jesus known’. City on a Hill is now a movement of thirteen churches in six cities.

City on a Hill Brisbane launched in 2016 and is a vibrant and growing community located in the heart of the city. We exist to know Jesus and make Jesus known, seeking to bring the gospel to life in our homes, workplaces, and neighbourhoods. We gather each Sunday at the Brisbane State High School and throughout the week in gospel communities across the city and suburbs.
Role Summary
At City on a Hill Brisbane, we believe every child is a precious image-bearer of God, capable of knowing and loving Jesus. Our vision for City Kids is to introduce children to the beauty, truth, and relevance of Jesus, helping them to grow to love Him, His Church, and His Word. The City Kids Coordinator plays a vital leadership role in overseeing this ministry — shaping culture, guiding vision, and equipping leaders to serve families and disciple children.
This is a role of oversight, development, and collaboration. The City Kids Coordinator will lead the City Kids Core Team to equip and encourage volunteers, ensuring ministry is shared, sustainable, and aligned with our mission. They will also serve as the key link between the City Kids ministry and the wider church, ensuring children are fully part of our community’s life and mission.
The City Kids Coordinator will report to the Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Brisbane and receive coaching, training and support from the City on a Hill Movement Director of Next Generation Ministry. This is a paid, permanent part-time position of 3 days per week.
