Main Job Description
Plans and organises the preparation and cooking of food for restaurant.
Tasks
planning menus,
estimating food and labour costs,
ordering food supplies
monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff
demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
preparing and cooking food
explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations
select and train staff
freeze and preserve foods
Skill Level
Certificate or degree in cookery or equivalent experience. Specialty in Asian , Thai, Malaysia, Indian or Middle Eastern cuisine. Min 2 years experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
