About Us
Miracle Design Nails & Beauty, located in the vibrant Capri on Via Roma shopping centre, is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Junior Salon Assistant / Trainee to join our friendly team.
This is an entry-level position perfect for high school students or young individuals looking to step into the nail and beauty industry, gain hands-on experience, and learn from experienced senior technicians.
No prior experience is required! We provide full, step-by-step training.
Key Responsibilities
- Greeting clients and ensuring they have a welcoming, comfortable experience.
- Assisting senior technicians with basic nail prep, including nail polish and gel removal.
- Learning and practicing professional nail polishing and basic manicure/pedicure techniques under close supervision.
- Preparing workstations and keeping them tidy and organised between clients.
- Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining salon tools according to hygiene standards.
- General salon maintenance to keep our space beautiful and welcoming.
Requirements
- A strong interest in pursuing a career as a Nail Technician.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and a positive "can-do" attitude.
- Friendly, polite, and well-presented with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours, including after-school shifts (afternoons) and weekends.
- Reliable commute to Isle of Capri / Surfers Paradise area.
- Must have valid working rights in Australia (Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or student working rights).

Schedule & Availability
- Flexible shifts (Afternoon shifts, Day shifts)
- Weekend availability (Saturday / Sunday)
- Approx. 15–25 hours per week (around 3 days a week)
