ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Digital Performance Specialist, you’ll play a hands‑on role in building Cricket Australia’s in‑house digital marketing capability, delivering smarter and more effective paid media outcomes across our brands.
Sitting within the Digital, Marketing & Communications team, this role is responsible for configuring, implementing and optimising paid digital campaigns across programmatic display & video, paid social and search platforms. Working closely with internal brand, creative, data and technology teams, as well as external media agency partners, you’ll ensure campaigns are technically sound, continuously optimised and delivering measurable performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for a performance‑driven marketer who enjoys working across the full digital media ecosystem, leveraging data, testing and optimisation to improve ROI, while helping shape best practice processes as part of a newly established in‑house media function.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
1-3 years’ experience in digital marketing, digital media or performance marketing (agency or in house)
Tertiary qualification in marketing, media, advertising, business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Hands on experience managing paid campaigns across at least two of the following:
Programmatic display & video (e.g. DV360, The Trade Desk)
Paid social platforms (e.g. Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Snapchat)
Paid search (e.g. Google Ads, Microsoft Ads)
Strong understanding of campaign tracking, tagging and conversion measurement
Proven ability to analyse performance metrics such as CTR, CPA, ROAS, CPM and CPC, and translate insights into optimisation actions
Experience working collaboratively with creative, brand and agency partners
Strong communication skills, with confidence presenting performance insights to stakeholders
Detail oriented, organised and comfortable managing budgets, pacing and bid strategies
A curious mindset with an interest in emerging digital media trends, automation and AI enabled optimisation
Desirable (but not essential):
Experience with GA4 and Google Tag Manager
Exposure to first party data activation, audience building or CDPs/DMPs
Working knowledge of SEO fundamentals or digital creative formats
