We are looking for a motivated Trade Assistant or Mechanic to join our team at our Devonport branch and support the efficient operation of our yard, workshop, and service technicians. This role involves assisting with day-to-day workshop activities, maintaining equipment presentation and cleanliness, and supporting the preparation and upkeep of machinery. Working closely with the workshop team, you will play an important role in ensuring equipment is maintained, organised, and ready for operation in a safe and efficient environment.

In this role you will be responsible for the following.
- Assist tradespeople and support the workshop team with day-to-day tasks.
- Maintain general housekeeping and cleanliness across the yard and workshop.
- Refuel equipment as required to support operational readiness.
- Conduct load testing and document battery condition on equipment.
- Steam clean equipment to maintain presentation and cleanliness standards.
- Identify and report customer damage on equipment accurately and promptly.
- Support safe and efficient workshop operations by following company procedures and safety processes.
The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Competent in the safe use of hand tools and workshop equipment.
- High Risk Forklift Licence is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety procedures and processes.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, motivated, and willing to support a busy workshop environment.
