As the Senior Clinical Nurse Advisor, you will be leading specified clinical nursing speciality and promoting evidence-based practice and clinical consultancy. You will provide leadership to clinical nursing delivery and direction, clinical quality and risk, service performance and care standards. You will seek opportunities to participate in relevant research, establish and maintain relationships with internal and external and professional affiliates.
Responsibilities include:
- Leads specified clinical nursing speciality such as skin integrity, wound management, diabetes, aged care and dementia, continence and urology, palliative and end of life care, and infection prevention and control. and serves as a subject matter expert in speciality area and provides clinical consultancy.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to establish and maintain clinical and professional standards through the application of inclusive person-centred care and evidence-based practice.
- Leads, influences and establishes outcome indicators for area of specialty and collaborates with the governance and quality team to analyse and respond.
- Oversees the maintenance and development of operational and organisational systems and identifies, assesses and mitigates organisational risks that impacts clinical care delivery.
To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred, Healthcare, Nursing is preferred. Any other healthcare-related discipline or commensurate work experience considered.
- Moderate experience as a registered nurse in speciality field of practice is preferred.
- Registered Nurse Division 1 Certification is prescribed.
- Proficient in Quality Care Service Management, Operations Management, Quality Management System, Risk Management, and Program Management skills.
- Excellent customer experience, communication, analytical thinking, resilience, and cross functional team working skills.
