Endless Support Services is seeking experienced Disability Support Workers to join our small, values-driven team.
We are currently recruiting for a specific role supporting a young person in Oxley. The role involves after-school support three days per week, with occasional weekend shifts available as required.
The focus of the role is building a positive and consistent working relationship while supporting community participation, daily routines, social skills and greater independence.
About the role:
This position offers approximately 7.5–15 hours per week, depending on the participant’s roster and your availability. Regular availability for three after-school shifts each week is required, along with some flexibility to assist with occasional weekend shifts.
Duties may include:
- Supporting the young person with after-school routines
- Planning and participating in age-appropriate community activities
- Supporting the development of social, communication and independence skills
- Encouraging participation in interests, hobbies and everyday activities
- Providing in-home support with routines and practical tasks
- Building confidence through consistent and strengths-based support
- Establishing a positive working relationship while maintaining professional boundaries
- Completing clear and accurate shift documentation
- Providing trauma-informed and person-centred support
- Working independently while following support plans, policies and reporting requirements
About you:
We are looking for someone energetic, dependable and genuinely interested in working with a young person. You should be able to build rapport naturally while remaining reliable, professional and consistent.
A worker who enjoys community activities and can provide positive, age-appropriate support would be well suited to this role.
You must:
- Have disability support work or closely related experience
- Be regularly available for after-school shifts three days per week
- Have some availability for occasional weekend shifts
- Be confident supporting a young person in the home and community
- Be able to encourage social engagement and independence
- Understand trauma-informed and person-centred support
- Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Hold a current Blue Card
- Hold a current Queensland driver licence
- Hold current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Have access to a reliable, appropriately insured vehicle
- Be able to commence promptly
Experience supporting children or young people in disability, youth, education, mentoring or community settings will be highly regarded.
