About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an organised and people-focused Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Officer to join our newly designed People & Culture team.
Reporting to the People & Capability Manager and working closely alongside our Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Specialist, this role plays an important part in supporting recruitment, onboarding and induction activities across the business.
As the Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Officer, you will provide coordination and administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, helping to ensure candidates and new employees experience a professional, efficient and welcoming journey from application through to commencement.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in recruitment, HR administration or talent acquisition support who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding service and attention to detail.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Your responsibilities will include:

Coordinating recruitment activities, including interview scheduling, candidate communications and maintaining recruitment records.
- Supporting the Talent Acquisition Specialist with job advertising and recruitment campaigns.
- Conducting initial screening checks, including eligibility, right-to-work documentation and application completeness.
- Providing recruitment process support to hiring managers.
- Preparing employment contracts, offer letters, onboarding packs and associated documentation.
- Coordinating pre-employment requirements, including police checks, VEVO checks, qualifications, licences, references and other compliance requirements.
- Managing onboarding administration and supporting a seamless commencement process for new employees.
- Coordinating inductions and ensuring new starters receive timely and accurate information.
- Maintaining recruitment and onboarding data within HR and recruitment systems.
- Assisting with recruitment, onboarding and compliance reporting.
- Providing professional and timely support to candidates, employees and hiring managers.
- Supporting People & Culture projects, HR events, training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Experience in administration, recruitment support or a similar coordination role.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience managing high-volume administrative tasks with strong attention to detail.
- Experience coordinating interviews, meetings or scheduling activities.
- Experience preparing employment documentation, onboarding paperwork or compliance records.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A professional and confidential approach when handling sensitive information.
The following will be highly regarded:

Qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or currently studying).
- Experience coordinating onboarding and induction activities.
- Experience within a fast-paced HR, recruitment, labour hire or blue-collar workforce environment.
- Experience with Employment Hero or similar HR systems.
- Exposure to mine site inductions and/or facilities maintenance highly regarded
