We are excited to bring an experienced Manager, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) into our national team at dnata catering & retail Australia, based at Perth Airport.
About The Role
In this key role, you will drive safety, wellbeing, and environmental performance across our operations, partnering with operational teams, People & Culture, senior leaders, and regulators to ensure strong compliance and continuous improvement.
You will lead HSE activities across our WA and NT business units, including hazard management, incident investigation, injury management, and proactive safety initiatives. You will also contribute to national HSE programs and help embed a strong safety-first culture across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and support local HSE teams to deliver planned safety and environmental activities and meet performance targets.

Drive hazard identification, risk assessment, incident investigation, and ensure compliance with legislation and dnata standards.

Deliver safety and environmental improvement initiatives to enhance performance and culture.

Conduct internal audits, inspections, and support external audits and regulatory interactions.

Facilitate HSE inductions and ensure employees understand their safety and environmental obligations.

Maintain accurate incident records and ensure timely reporting in dnata’s online system.

Support injury management, including triage, medical coordination, and returntowork planning.

Prepare monthly HSE reports and provide insights to key stakeholders.

Provide HSE support to other dnata business units as required.

Role model dnata values and contribute to a strong safety-first culture.

Ensure compliance with dnata policies, WHS procedures, and undertake additional duties as needed.
About You

Formal safety qualification (essential); environmental qualification (desirable).

Demonstrated success in a similar HSE leadership role.

Strong ability to work collaboratively, lead teams, and operate independently when required.

Understanding of state workers’ compensation schemes; case management experience highly regarded.

Competent in documentation, reporting, and records management using Microsoft Office.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.

Current full drivers licence.
