About the Role
Main Roads are looking for an energetic and motivated individual with strong technical capability and well-developed communication skills for this key role as the Maintenance Manager in the Pilbara Region based in South Hedland.

You will plan and manage the delivery of the routine and periodic maintenance programs for the Region within approved funding allocations including the management of maintenance resources in the Pilbara Region to deliver maintenance works and programs.
As part of this role, you will be constantly liaising with the community and working with key stakeholders to ensure the safety of all road users. You will be required to monitor and report of the delivery performance of the maintenance works program for the region to both internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for people with:
- Experience in project and construction management, including road maintenance planning and delivery.
- Experience in road maintenance practice including resurfacing and rehabilitation treatments and practices.
- Exposure to managing resources.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships and communicate effectively.
- The ability to influence, negotiate, persuade and solve problems.
- Enthusiasm, commitment and a focus on achieving results.

You have the option to work either a 37.5-hour or 40-hour regular work week, and also the choice to work an extra 5 hours per week of commuted overtime.
The role is Monday to Friday with visits to work sites and depots across the region.
For a 37.5-hour work week, you will receive a competitive salary of $147,797 - $163, 353 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime. If you choose to work a 40-hour week the salary will be $157,650 - $174,243 per annum inclusive of commuted overtime. The salary range will be dependent on experience. As part of this generous salary, you will also be entitled to receive an additional 5 days of annual leave (northwest leave) and travel days or have the option to an annual percentage of 3.5% pay out in lieu of northwest leave and travel days.
Other benefits include power subsidies, communication subsidy, annual leave travel concession (reimbursement of return airfares to Perth once per annum) plus 12% superannuation.
