VCE Maths Methods Tutor
Maths Methods is one of the most demanding subjects in VCE; and one of the most rewarding to teach well.
At Nova Scholars, we help students turn "I don't get this" into "I can do this," and we're looking for tutors who have a genuine passion for maths and teaching, and can make Methods finally click.
We're not a lecture-from-the-front operation. Our tutors teach in small groups, know their students by name, and actually care whether they improve. If you loved Methods (or at least beat it) and enjoy teaching and the satisfaction of seeing a student finally understand a concept, read on.
About the role
- Teach small group classes (max 10 students) in VCE Maths Methods Units 1–4
- Run weekly 1-on-1 sessions to review work, give feedback or assistance, and set goals
- Use our ready-made booklets, SACs, and practice exams (opportunities to develop resources as an additional role)
- Teach both online and at our Wantirna South centre
What we're looking for
- Strong VCE Maths Methods result (raw 40+ ), or strong uni-level maths
- 95+ ATAR — or send your latest academic results
- Clear, patient explainer who can simplify tricky concepts
- Reliable and committed for the full academic year
- Recent Year 12 grads welcome

The practical bits
