About the role
- $250,091.34 + Super + ability to salary package up to $15,900 tax free for living expenses under the RACGP’s health promotion charity status
- Part time (0.2 FTE), permanent opportunity
- Located in our Hobart, Tasmania office with WFH opportunities
Support academic governance by reviewing and approving training and Fellowship matters, maintaining standards and policy, contributing to assessment quality, and providing expert advice on complex academic issues. Collaborates with the Council of Censors, Censor-in-Chief, Faculty leaders and training stakeholders.
As our State Censor (TAS) role, you'll also:
- Provide academic governance by reviewing and determining training, assessment and Fellowship matters, including Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience (RPLE), Completion of Training, Fellowship recommendations and training policy variations.
- Contribute to the development, review and implementation of GP Training and Fellowship policies, standards, curriculum and assessment quality to maintain academic integrity and consistency.
- Lead and participate in academic committees and panels, managing complex matters including academic misconduct, appeals, progress reviews and ethical issues, while providing expert guidance and decision-making.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with the Council of Censors, Censor-in-Chief, Faculty leaders, Regional Directors of Training, National Clinical Leads and training teams, providing advice, representation and support on academic and assessment matters.
Skills & Experience
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with current unrestricted specialist medical registration with AHPRA.
- Extensive experience in RACGP GP Training, assessments and Fellowship pathways, with a strong understanding of GP education, assessment and training requirements.
- Demonstrated expertise in developing, interpreting and applying education and training policy, underpinned by strong analytical, problem-solving and quality assurance skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship management skills, with experience presenting to senior leaders, Boards, Councils and committees.
