As Head of Sustainability, you’ll shape how Strait Link responds to one of our biggest challenges, while working at the intersection of strategy, reporting, risk, operations and transformation.
Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, you’ll work across the business to understand our climate-related risks and opportunities (CRROs), strengthen our reporting and governance, identify ways to reduce our environmental impact and operate more efficiently, and turn those opportunities into practical initiatives.
You’ll influence senior leaders well beyond sustainability — from investment and infrastructure to operations, risk and long-term business planning.
You’ll bring together commercial thinking, analysis, reporting and program delivery to help Strait Link make better decisions today and plan for what’s ahead.
And because we operate ships, move freight and manage significant assets - with over 1000 employees - you won’t be dealing in theory. The decisions you help shape will have a very real impact.
You are a strategic sustainability professional with strong reporting, governance, and program delivery experience. You can translate regulatory requirements into practical business outcomes and confidently engage with senior leaders, technical specialists, and external stakeholders.
You’ll bring:
Experience leading climate or sustainability reporting through at least one full disclosure cycle (AASB S2, TCFD, ISSB or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to lead multi-stream sustainability or decarbonisation programs.
Strong understanding of emissions reporting, climate governance, and sustainability compliance requirements.
Proven stakeholder management experience, including Executive and Board-level reporting.
Experience establishing governance frameworks, committees, or cross-functional forums.
Experience in transport, logistics, maritime, infrastructure or another asset-intensive industry will be highly regarded, but is not essential. Exposure to government funding, climate risk or enterprise risk management would also be valuable. Professional qualifications may complement your experience, but what you have delivered will matter most.
