About the role
This role plays a key part in delivering domestic and family violence prevention initiatives across Bayside. You will design and deliver programs that support primary prevention and respond to the needs of diverse communities.
You will work in partnership across Council to ensure programs are inclusive and responsive to the needs of diverse communities, including people from culturally diverse backgrounds, First Nations communities, people with disability, young people and older residents.
You will use research, data and stakeholder insights to ensure initiatives are evidence-based and impactful. The role also represents Council within sector networks and works collaboratively to strengthen community outcomes.
You can also expect to:
- Develop and deliver programs that support primary prevention efforts addressing the antecedents of domestic and family violence across Bayside.
- Lead the planning, delivery and evaluation of Council’s Domestic and Family Violence Action Plan.
- Represent Council in relevant meetings, forums, and sector events, the Eastern Suburbs Domestic Violence Network, and St George Domestic Violence Committee.
- Monitor trends, research and policy developments to inform prevention initiatives.
- Build strong partnerships with services and funding bodies and advocate for community needs.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent, demonstrated experience in primary prevention.
- Understanding of the domestic and family violence sector and current best-practice approaches
- Current Driver’s Licence Class C

Salary: $102,266 - $114,143 plus super
