The Nepean Blue Mountains Health District offers a wide range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures through our various facilities/services with a goal to help diagnose, assess, and treat patient's injury or disease.
Nepean Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Physics Specialist – Radiology to join our dynamic Medical Imaging team. In this role, you will provide expert scientific and technical support to ensure the safe and effective use of ionising radiation across diagnostic imaging services, contributing to quality assurance programs, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will work collaboratively with radiologists, radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise imaging performance, enhance patient safety, and support the delivery of high-quality care within a busy tertiary hospital environment.
The successful candidate will bring strong analytical expertise, a commitment to patient-centred care, and experience in clinical radiology physics, including equipment commissioning, dose optimisation, and radiation safety.
